As a Production/Factory Manager you will need to apply standards and codes of practice to glass processing.
Oversee the production process such as identifying and calculating production costs, drawing up a production schedule and ensure products are produced on time and are of good quality.
Work out the human and material resources needed and drafting a timescale for the job.
Undertake process capability improvements and adjusting schedules as needed.
Responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment.
Liaise with different departments, e.g. suppliers, managers.
Work with managers to implement the company's policies and goals.
Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed.
Supervising and motivating a team of workers.
Reviewing the performance of subordinates and identifying training needs.
Work closely with the production team to ensure compliance to quality control system and work place health and safety policy.
Ensure orders are bulked efficiently to maximise resource available whilst meeting the customer requirements.
Manage production team within budget by working at right first time, minimum re-work material, and minimum waste.
Facilitate and oversee ongoing staff training.
Ensure compliance to company policies such as Workplace Health, Safety & Environment, and Human resources
Contribute to strategic business planning and development.
Knowledge and experience in production management in aspects of glass processing or similar role.
Be able to communicate clearly, act decisively and have problem-solving capabilities.
Medium to advanced computer skills and attention to detail is required.
Be able to meet budget and production deadlines to meet business requirements.
Have good knowledge of all OH & S procedures.
Diploma in Production Management, Certificate IV in Glass and Glazing
