The role of the Logistics Coordinator/Supervisor is to manage and oversee the smooth operation of product delivery (inwards and outwards).
Monitor the processes required to track the movement of freight.
Ensure reporting requirements are communicated to appropriate personnel regarding products that need to be transports
Apply workplace procedures to the transportation process.
Supervise employees, equipment and vehicle maintenance and temporary storage areas (if required).
Promptly report and/or rectify any identified problems that may arise during the organisation of the transport of freight and goods in accordance with regulatory requirements and workplace procedures.
Have knowledge on the current codes of practice and legislative requirements relevant to the organisation of the transport of freight and goods.
Excellent people management skills with the ability to motivate and empower staff.
Results driven with good time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced dispatch environment.
