The Human Resource Manager will be responsible for developing policies, directing and coordinating human resources activities, such as recruiting, running induction programs and assisting management with employee performance reviews.
The duties include compliance to legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions.
Recruitment of staff, producing job descriptions, placing job vacancy advertisements, working with recruitment consultancies, organising interviews and running candidate selection interviews.
Duties may also include to management of training department, workplace health and safety system and payroll system.
Contributing to strategic planning of the organisation.
You may also be required to work closely with company lawyers and trade unions.
A Human Resource Manager will need to have an understanding and awareness on current Australian state legislations, arbitration procedures, and collective bargaining.
Understand and assess industry employment trends.
Be diplomatic and have excellent negotiation skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work with personnel from all levels.
A Diploma or Degree in Human Resources Management
