A Company Accountant will be responsible for establishing, implementing and maintaining the accounting systems and accounting control procedures for the finance department of the organisation.
The duties preparation of profit and loss statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports.
Compile and analyse financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
Analyse and review budgets and expenditures.
Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness.
Prepare month end reporting & reconciliations; conduct quarterly and annual forecasting including preparation of company budgets; reporting
monthly & quarterly cash flow and managing the company REC register.
Analyse revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control.
Resolve accounting discrepancies.
Recommend, develop and maintain financial data bases, computer software systems and manual filing systems.
Supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company's automated financial systems.
Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
Qualification in Accounting and Finance background and CPA is preferred.
Need to possess advance skills on Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communications skills.
Ability to meet strict deadlines for meeting legislative reporting requirements.
Accounting or Business Commerce Degree
