The position is primarily involved in driving system compliance throughout the organization and providing expert assistance, advice and coaching to managers and staff on the management of OHS system.
The OHS&E Manager will develop, implement and review OHS and environmental programs. The duties also include:
Updating policies and procedures and risk assessment to ensure compliance with legislation and industry best practice.
Assist in the development and implementation of internal and external audit schedules to ensure compliance to the OHS&E standards and legislative requirements.
Coordinate and liaise with company's safety committee.
Provide training and guidance in the implementation of OHS management systems and procedures at all levels of the organisation.
Assist in the undertaking of investigations following accidents or occurrences to determine likely causes and corrective actions.
This roles requires knowledge of OHS legislation, relevant Australian Standards and codes of Practice.
Have experience in developing and implementing risk management strategies.
Knowledge and an understanding of Glass and Glazing Industry practices will be beneficial.
